Solo Thanksgiving Weekend

Bryce's office rotates which holidays they are on call for, and this year Bryce's holiday was Thanksgiving. So Thanksgiving weekend was mostly a solo-parenting weekend for me.  We woke up to a huge snow storm on Thanksgiving and got a total of 14 inches.  It was a pretty crazy storm.  I was possibly going to take the kids to my grandparents in Henefer but due to the storm we canceled those plans.  We spent the morning shoveling out our driveway and headed to my Grandma and Grandpa Mecham's in Morgan for dinner.  We spent most of the weekend just hanging out at home.  I was working on my final paper for the semester a lot and the kids stayed entertained playing with each other.  I took the kids to the Ogden Electric Light Parade, which was fun although freezing!  We were hoping Bryce would be able to meet up with us for the parade but he was slammed at work.  We made the best of it and had a festive weekend anyway!

Beauty and the Beast the Musical

We took our kids to see Bonneville High's production of Beauty and the Beast the musical.  They also had a tea party for kids before the matinee showing so we bought tickets to take our kids to that too.

Omg.  It was the cutest!  All of the characters were there in full costume and make up.  The silverware and dishes characters served the food to the kids and towards the end of the meal they sang Be our Guest.  It was darling and so much fun for our kids.

Our kids loved the musical! And the production was so well done, especially for a high school.  Bryce and I were very impressed.  I love musicals and being able to share that with our kids as they are getting older has been so fun.

Fridays are my Favorite

Fridays are my favorite.  Currently I work Mon-Thurs from 6 am to 12 pm.  Bryce is home with the kids those mornings since he works from 1 pm- to around 10 pm.  He does the morning routine with kids: getting them dressed and ready for school, breakfast, and drop off & pick up at their schools.  On Fridays when I am off work I get to do drop off and pick up with Claire to kindergarten and I love it.  I really enjoy getting to take her to her class and have a few minutes of one on one time with her.
Then after I drop Claire off I get to go home and spend some one on one time with Peter before I tackle some homework!

WSU Football Game

We decided to go see a Weber State University Football game this past Saturday.  It was actually the first football we've taken our kids too.  This outing was more for Bryce.  We do a lot of outings according to mine or the kids' interests and Bryce is so easy going he's happy to do anything, but I knew he'd love getting to watch a football game.  It was a pretty fun night.  Bryce and Peter loved it.  I loved seeing Bryce and Peter having so much fun.  Claire was a little bored with it, but I think she still enjoyed doing something different for a change!

30 years old

I turned 30 years old on October 31st!  My 30th birthday was present was Invisalign to fix my teeth that have shifted since I had a braces as a teenager #thisis30.  Age has never really been a big deal to me.  I haven't been bothered about getting older and I am actually really excited for my thirties.  I feel like I had a lot of growth opportunities in my twenties and have really figured out who I am as a person.  I can't wait to see what my thirties will hold.  Goals I have for my thirties include: Graduate with master's degree, work as a librarian somewhere, travel frequently as a family, read lots and lots of books, spend as much time as I can with Bryce and my kids.
