Every fall we look forward to taking our kids to a corn maze. I think we have made it to one every year since Claire was a toddler. We usually go to Black Island Farms in Layton but this year Weber State University had an alumni night activity at Green Acres Dairy and Corn Maze in Ogden. The tickets were heavily discounted for alumni so we jumped on that and tried out a new place. We loved it. The slides were fun, Claire loved the corn pit, and Peter loved the water pump station. We also got to go on a hayride tour of the dairy farm which was actually very interesting and informative! We did the corn maze last and by the time it was dark so there are no pictures of it. We let Claire and Peter take turns picking which way to go and they actually got us out in a decent amount of time. Our kids are at such fun ages right now on outings. I'm already looking forward to going again next fall.
Peter had his first day of preschool last week. I was so proud of Bryce remembering to get a picture because I had to be at work on his first day. He did great and was so excited to go to school like Claire!
Pictures from Bear Lake Round 2. We made it twice this year and it was so so fun! One year we'd love to get an airbnb and stay for a few days but our work schedules were a bit crazy this past summer so we made it work the best we could! This day trip was the weekend after Labor Day and we basically had the whole beach to ourselves. It was a smart move on our part!

After this Bear Lake trip we stopped in Brigham City on our way home for their Peach Days celebration. We bought tickets for our kids to go on a few rides. I took Claire on her first Ferris wheel ride. She LOVED it, me...not so much. I am not a fan of heights but it was fun to see her so excited to be on the ride!
One of our favorite destinations every year is Bear Lake. We love spending the day on the beach with Rory and the kids. We usually just do a day trip and spend all day playing in the water and sand. We pack always pack a big lunch in a cooler and the kids love that we pack special picnic snacks they don't normally get like Pringles and Caprisuns. We usually spend the day at the lake until late afternoon/early evening. Then before we head back on the hour and half drive back home we stop for raspberry shakes and ice cream. We actually made it to Bear Lake twice this summer. Here are the pictures from our first trip and the other pictures will follow in the next post.
