Beach Day

This past weekend we took a little trip to Pineview Reservoir and had a family beach day. We found a nice little set up in the shade so Claire wouldn't get too much sun. We had a picnic and splashed our toes in the water. Claire really liked splashing and wiggling her feet in the water.  We had a lot of fun but we only had time to stay for a few hours so we're hoping to go back again next weekend.  We want to find a baby floatie or something so we can take Claire out into the water and have her swim with us!  
I love weekends when Bryce gets to be with us all day. Family outings are just the best!

Claire Olivia Week by Week: 25 Weeks

Claire turned 25 weeks old today. We are working on transitioning to a 4 hour schedule now that she is eating more solids. I'm slowly starting to feed her solids twice a day and eventually we'll move to three. The newest foods she has tried are applesauce, green beans, and prunes. She HATES applesauce, tolerates green beans, and loves prunes. A new thing she has discovered is tags. She loves tags! She finds them on blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals and tries to eat them all the time. She will be 6 months old this upcoming Saturday! I'm trying not to be too sad about it and enjoy it instead.  I want to soak up and enjoy every minute with this sweet girl.

Claire Olivia Week by Week: 24 Weeks

Claire turned 24 weeks old today. The pictures are actually from the 4th of July though (but I'm sure she hasn't grown much in two days).  She is getting really playful and social at this age.  It is so much fun!  She loves to smile and "talk" to everyone.  She has also started rolling around constantly going from her back to her belly all day long.  She is a very wiggly, happy girl!  We were dying over her wearing the sunglasses, that's why there are so many pictures. I had a hard time narrowing them down.  She is just too cute!

4th of July 2014

Claire's first 4th of July yesterday was a success! First we took her to the Morgan parade in the morning with Bryce's family. Claire  had a front row seat in her nice shaded stroller.  She squealed excitedly as she watched all of the floats go by.  After the parade we went to my parents and had lunch with them. We hung out there for a while so Claire (& Bryce) could take a nap. After they woke up my mom went with us to a concert in Henefer where we met up with my grandparents. Claire hadn't taken very good naps so I was worried she was going to get really grumpy. Luckily she didn't, and she loved all of the music! It kept her wide awake the whole time. We left the concert a little early and headed back to Morgan, for the finale of the night, to watch the fireworks at Bryce's parent's house.  Claire had fallen asleep by this point so she missed the firework show, but I'm sure she'll enjoy them more next year when she's bigger anyway!  My favorite part of the day was probably getting an excuse to be twiners with Claire with our heart sunglasses :).  Happy Independence day!  Cue the picture overload:

Slow Morning

We got home really late last night so we have had a slooow morning. We may have spent most of the morning in bed, but at least one of us got dressed :).
