One morning last week Claire decided we needed to have a little snuggle session with all her animals. I love my snuggly girl. Is it too much wishful thinking to hope she stays like this forever?
Bryce's parents gave us a pass to the Treehouse Museum for Christmas this year and we have been having so much fun using it. I try to take Claire once a week or so and there is still so much to do everytime we go! I took my camera on one of our visits a in February and took a few pictures. Claire loves giving the babies check-ups at the doctor station (we have to do this one every time we go).
Buying groceries at the market.
Drawing on the chalkboard in the schoolroom is another of Claire's favorite activities. She would easily spend the whole time in here if I let her haha...at least she's easily entertained!
And of course she makes sure to walk on every bridge and crawl through every tunnel she finds :). She is such a fun kid. I love all our little outings together!
A few shots I took of Claire a couple week ago while she was playing with her blocks and dump truck while wearing her favorite Sofia dress. She is THE cutest (and I think she and her little brother are going to get along just fine).
Towards the end of February the weather started getting warmer, the snow melted, and we finally started itching with some Spring Fever. We've been spending as much time outside as we can on the warmer days. We got out our sidewalk chalk and have already added our daily walks and trips to the park back into our schedule. Claire and Rory both have loved being able to get out of the house and burn off their extra energy. As much as I love Fall and Winter I have to say I am starting to really look forward to the warmer days ahead just as much as they are!
For Valentine's Day this year we surprised Claire with a Sofia the First nightgown a few days before and then on Valentine's Day we gave her two new books and a little mailbox filled with treats. Bryce gave me all my favorite things: Diet Coke, chocolate, socks, and the book Me Before You I requested. He also came home from work Saturday night with the book Finding Audrey, I had just finished reading. I borrowed it from the library but told him how much I loved it so he surprised me with my own copy. He knows the way to my bookworm heart :) I didn't get a picture of his gift but I gave him 2 pairs of Batman socks, chocolates, and the book The Martian. Valentine's Day fell on a Sunday this year so we spent the first part of the day at church, came home and took naps/read our new books, and then for dinner we made heart pizzas together. I made whole wheat pizza dough for the crust and bought a bunch of different toppings so we could each make our own. Claire had so much fun helping make the pizzas! She added toppings to her own and to mine and Bryce's because she wanted to keep helping :). The pizzas were as yummy as they were fun to make. After we ate pizzas we spent the rest of the night playing with Claire and spending time as a family. We put Claire to bed and then dipped strawberries in chocolate and watched a movie together. It wasn't a spectacularly romantic Valentine's day but it was so much more fun celebrating the day as a family. With how busy Bryce's schedule is, we'll take any spare time with him we can get!
Claire absolutely LOVES Sofia the First. Every morning after she wakes up its the first thing she asks for. I found her this cute Sofia the first nightgown and we gave it to her as an early Valentine's Day surprise! She was clearly beyond thrilled with it. She wore it for three days straight until I was able to convince her to let me wash it :).
