Baby Boy's Quilt

One of the last things on my to do list before baby boy's arrival was to finish making his baby quilt.  I finished just 4 weeks before my due date.  I love how it turned out and can't wait to snuggle him up in it!

Girls Day In

In the last few weeks of my pregnancy I bought a new robe for the hospital and post-baby weeks at home.  On the day it came in the mail I tried it on and Claire thought it was "SO pretty!".  She decided she needed one too so she ran to her closet and came back out with her green dress.  I put her dress on and decided since we were already dressed for the part we would have a girls day and do make up and nails.

My little girly girl was, of course, in heaven.  I had a lot of fun too!  It was a really fun way to spend one of the last days of it being just us two before the baby came.

Maternity Pictures

The day I turned 37 weeks I had Bryce take a few maternity pictures of me.  I wasn't really feeling up for anything big/fancy so we just took a few in our backyard.  They were just what I was wanting, a few simple pictures to remember this pregnancy by.

Claire loved giving my belly kisses and saying, "Come out and play with us baby!"

Initially I wasn't really going to take any but I'm so glad we did.  These will be so fun look back on!

Happy 26th Birthday Bryce

Bryce turned 26 years old on May 13 this year!  We celebrated by getting Buffalo Wild Wings Take-out for dinner and I made him his favorite Oreo Cheesecake.  He got spoiled for his birthday this years we combined it with his graduation gift and he got a set of golf clubs.  He was so excited about them!
Claire, Rory, and, I had lots of fun celebrating our favorite guy.  He really is the very best!

Pregnancy Update: 37 Weeks

How far along? 37 weeks + 3 days but picture was taken at exactly 37 weeks
How big is baby? At my appointment my doctor estimated on the ultrasound he was about 6 pounds
Stretch marks? Still none!
Sleep: Bah.  Sleep has been terrible lately.  I got a cough last week and between back & pelvic pain and coughing all night I was lucky to get 3 or 4 hours a night.  At least I'll be acclimated to sleep deprivation for when the baby gets here :).
Best moment of the week? Celebrating Bryce's 26th birthday on Friday.
Food cravings? I've been craving a Jimmy John's Beach Club sandwich for the past 3 weeks and finally got one last Thursday.
Symptoms? Braxton Hicks, heartburn, back pain, pelvic pain and tons of pressure on my pelvis since he has dropped so low.
Movement: He still moves around quite a bit but is taking up so much room there aren't quite as many big movements which has been a nice break.
Gender? Boy!
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Anything making you queasy or sick?  No.
Happy or moody most of the time:  Happy and getting so excited to meet this little boy!
Miss Anything?  Sleep, laying on my stomach, being able to walk without waddling and being in pain haha
Labor Signs? At my appointment last Tuesday I was 2 cm dilated and about 75% effaced.  The baby is super low also (like painfully low) so my doctor doesn't think I will make it to my due date but he also thought that with Claire so I'm not holding my breath :).
Looking Forward to? Getting this baby here finally!

Bryce's Graduation

On April 29h Bryce graduated with his Bachelor's degree from Weber State University.  He graduated with a dual major in Athletic Training/Athletic Therapy & a minor in Chemistry.  Here are a few pictures from his ceremony:

It was a really nice ceremony, and even better it was short & sweet!  Both Bryce's parents and my parents came to his ceremony with Claire and me.  Claire was so cute and kept yelling 'Yay!  Go Dad!' throughout the day.
Claire giving Dad a big hug once we met up with him outside.
Bryce with some of his professors and other students in his major.
After the ceremony and pictures we all went to lunch at Chopstix for Chinese food, which is Bryce's favorite.  It was such a great day celebrating his huge accomplishment with our parents.  It was a long road, but we are so happy he is finished!  Now the plan is for him to work for the next year & apply to PA school this summer and if he gets in we'll find out this winter where we'll be heading!
