Hospital Stay with Peter

After having a horrible hospital stay with Claire where I couldn't even get out of the hospital bed the whole time I was there, the hospital stay this time with Peter was a dream!  I was up out of my bed and walking around probably 15 minutes after I had Peter.  It was SO nice having such a better recovery right off the bat.

My mom brought Claire to see her new baby brother just shortly after he was born.  Claire got there when they were getting ready to give Peter his first bath so my incredibly amazing nurse let Claire help.  It was so cute and so fun for Claire!
When the nurse was leaving after she was finished getting Peter bathed Claire waved, told her bye, and said "Thanks for the baby!"  We all got a good laugh at that, if only it were that easy to get a baby here ;)

After Peter's bath we had Claire give him his first teddy bear and then she got a big sister gift from him.  I put her a gift bag together with things that would help entertain her while I nursed (coloring book, stickers, crayons, play-doh, bubbles, a new big sister book, and a few treats).
My mom brought Claire back the second day after I'd gotten a good night's rest so we could take a few more pictures where I didn't look like I had just given birth haha.  Claire was in love with Peter and just wanted to keep holding and kissing him.

And our final picture from the hospital, Peter in his car seat ready to finally go home!

Baby Boy's Quilt

One of the last things on my to do list before baby boy's arrival was to finish making his baby quilt.  I finished just 4 weeks before my due date.  I love how it turned out and can't wait to snuggle him up in it!

Girls Day In

In the last few weeks of my pregnancy I bought a new robe for the hospital and post-baby weeks at home.  On the day it came in the mail I tried it on and Claire thought it was "SO pretty!".  She decided she needed one too so she ran to her closet and came back out with her green dress.  I put her dress on and decided since we were already dressed for the part we would have a girls day and do make up and nails.

My little girly girl was, of course, in heaven.  I had a lot of fun too!  It was a really fun way to spend one of the last days of it being just us two before the baby came.

Maternity Pictures

The day I turned 37 weeks I had Bryce take a few maternity pictures of me.  I wasn't really feeling up for anything big/fancy so we just took a few in our backyard.  They were just what I was wanting, a few simple pictures to remember this pregnancy by.

Claire loved giving my belly kisses and saying, "Come out and play with us baby!"

Initially I wasn't really going to take any but I'm so glad we did.  These will be so fun look back on!

Happy 26th Birthday Bryce

Bryce turned 26 years old on May 13 this year!  We celebrated by getting Buffalo Wild Wings Take-out for dinner and I made him his favorite Oreo Cheesecake.  He got spoiled for his birthday this years we combined it with his graduation gift and he got a set of golf clubs.  He was so excited about them!
Claire, Rory, and, I had lots of fun celebrating our favorite guy.  He really is the very best!
