Easter 2019

We started Easter weekend off at a local Easter egg hunt in Ogden with our kids.  Claire wanted to see the easter bunny and get a picture with him.  She knows he's not actually real, we've never done the Easter bunny tradition with our kids and have always told them he's not real.  Our kids still get an Easter basket it's just from Mom and Dad, not the Easter bunny.  Anyway, Claire still wanted to get a picture by the pretend Easter bunny, Peter was a little unsure of the whole thing.

We went to my parents next and had lunch and another Easter egg hunt for the kids. They had so much fun hunting for eggs with their cousins.

Our kids got new Sunday outfits, swimsuits, and a few small surprises and treats in their Easter baskets.  Happy Easter!

Claire's New Big Girl Bike

Claire saved up her birthday money (and we chipped in with some of our Visa rewards points) and got a new bike!  This is her first real big girl bike, she graduated from using her beloved balance bike.   She has been riding her balance bike since she was 3 and it helped immensely.  She was pedaling and riding her bike like a pro after about 30 minutes of practice.  She was beaming and all smiles the rest of the day.  I love seeing her learn and accomplish new things, it's such a rewarding thing to observe as a parent!

St. Patrick's Day 2019

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day with our traditional green pancakes and Lucky Charms cereal (pretty much the only time I buy it). Peter was a little unsure of the pancakes at first but he came around and tried them eventually!

Sunday Sunglasses

I snapped a few pictures of Claire, Peter, and Rory after church on a Sunday.  I mean try to look at these and not smile.  They are the cutest.

Disney On Ice

We went to Disney on Ice last Saturday.  The last time we went Claire was barely 3 and Peter was not even quite 1 year old yet.  The kids had a blast.  It made me really excited to take them to Disneyland next year.  We are thinking we'll go around Peter's 4th birthday in hopes that he'll be tall enough to go on most of the rides by then.  Until then, Disney on Ice is a good substitute. :)

Happy 6th Birthday Rory!

Rory girl turned 6 years old on Feb 28th! We made her a dog cake and sang Happy Birthday to her and gave her a few new dog toys. We love our fur baby, she is the best.
